This document is intended for single-family homes adding only one ADU on its lot.
Learn what’s needed for a complete application and find resources from City agencies that will review the project, including San Francisco Planning, Department of Building Inspection (DBI), Public Works, and Public Utilities Commission (PUC). Note: SF Fire Department may need to review the project.
ADU Checklist for Multi-Family (and some single family)
For multi-family properties, and some single-family homes adding more than one ADU, and to single family homes that do not meet all requirements and require a waiver.
